Manual leak tests are in-tank static tests and automatic leak tests are continuous in-tank leak detection tests. In the leak detection mode, ATG systems can be set manually or automatically to perform a leak test. A rubber plug closure valve, which can be closed on the gauge tape, is used between the gauge and the tank to isolate the gauge head from the tank vapor space during gauging operations. Automatic tank gauging systems (ATG systems) operate in one of two modes: inventory mode and leak detection mode. The Model 93376 is available in cast steel (for working pressures up to 125 lbs.) Other materials are available upon request. By substituting a sampling bob for the hollow bob and locking the spring mechanism, the device becomes a sampling lock. A spring mechanism is adjusted against the weight of the hollow bob so that when the bob touches the tank bottom or datum plate, payout of the tape is automatically stopped and the tape is kept under constant tension, preventing tipping of the bob or overshooting the gauge. In this gauge, a hollow bob is used in place of the conventional plump bob. The OTO Main Anti-aircraft Tank for Intercept and Combat (shortened as Otomatic, a play on Automatic and OTO) was an Italian self-propelled anti-aircraft. The inherent inaccuracy of hand gauges led to the design of this tank gauge, which entirely eliminates the human element in the sequence of lowering the tape and bob to the bottom of the tank in order to obtain an “innage” reading. With an easy to understand navigation, streamlined inventory and compliance reporting, and powerful business analytics, the TLS-450PLUS Automatic Tank Gauge. The Shand & Jurs Model 93376 Semi-Automatic Tank Gauge and Sampling Lock has been designed as an intermediate step between hand gauging and fully automatic tank gauging. The combination of these movements produces a 360° cleaning pattern over the entire interior. While the head rotates horizontally, the nozzles rotate vertically, powered by the reaction energy of the high-pressure water. May be used for sampling and temperature thieving The key is NLB’s 3-Dimensional tank cleaning head, which focuses high-velocity water jets through two rotating nozzles.

First, determine the best material for the float switch by considering the liquids that will be held in the tank and what material the tank is made of.

Choosing the right liquid level float switch is easy. However, as the Cold War ended and general interest for SPAAG vehicles began declining in favour of more modern missile systems, the OTOMATIC project never received any interest from potential users. Float switches are simple devices that can be easily installed into almost any size tank to automatically control the liquid level. Intended to be compatible with a large number of NATO vehicles of the time, the OTOMATIC, similarly to the British Marksman system, was tested on several hulls and it was planned to be capable of fitting any NATO tank, including the Leopard 2 and M1 Abrams. The first prototype of the OTOMATIC was ready for testing in the late 1980s. The first prototype of the OTOMATIC was ready for testing in the late 1980s. Although a challenging feat, Italian engineers eventually succeeded in this endeavour, creating a vehicle that wasn’t only up to the latest technological standards but also perfectly suited, and even exceeded, various NATO requirements of the time. The basic concept behind the OTOMATIC was to take the successful 76mm Super Rapido utility cannon used on naval vessels and fit it to a suitable mobile platform in order to create a long-range SPAA vehicle that would outmatch similar designs such as the German Gepard or British Marksman system. Development of the OTOMATIC SPAAG began during the mid 1980s as a private venture of the OTO Melara company.
